Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire has contributed £250 to the Leeds North & West Foodbank, aiding their effort to provide three days’ worth of nutritionally balanced emergency food to locals in crisis.
Leeds North & West Foodbank is a vital community resource committed to addressing food insecurity and providing support to individuals and families in crisis across the North and West areas of Leeds. Established in 2013, this foodbank is a collaborative effort of local churches and community groups dedicated to the mission of eliminating hunger in the local area.
As part of the national network supported by The Trussell Trust, Leeds North & West Foodbank plays a crucial role in the broader fight against poverty and hunger in the UK. This affiliation not only enhances their capacity to deliver services but also connects them with a wealth of resources and support to effectively manage and distribute emergency food supplies.
The foodbank provides three days’ worth of nutritionally balanced, emergency food to individuals and families who have been referred by care professionals such as doctors, social workers, and school liaison officers. This service is a lifeline for many who find themselves facing sudden financial difficulties due to job loss, health issues, or other unexpected challenges.
The impact of the foodbank extends beyond just meeting immediate food needs; it fosters a sense of community and support, showing those in crisis that they are not alone and that their community is there to support them. Through the continued dedication of its staff, volunteers, and community partners, Leeds North & West Foodbank remains a beacon of hope and support for many in Leeds www.leedsnorthandwest.foodbank.org.uk

Taylor Wimpey Yorkshire is committed to supporting the local communities where it operates, with projects such as Woodside Vale on Clayton Wood Road in Leeds.
