Morley Glass Named Headline Sponsor for North Leeds Charity Beer Festival 2026

Morley Glass has been confirmed as the headline sponsor of the 2026 North Leeds Charity Beer Festival, as the popular fundraising event prepares to return to Roundhay this spring.

The two-day festival will take place on 10–11 April at North Leeds Cricket Club, bringing together the local community and visitors from across the region for a weekend of drinks, live music and food, all in aid of charity. Organised by the Rotary Club of Roundhay, the festival is now in its 14th year and is expected to attract hundreds of beer, cider and gin enthusiasts. Visitors can look forward to a wide range of Yorkshire beers and ciders, alongside a broader menu of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options, plus food stalls and family-friendly entertainment.

Since it began, the event has raised more than £100,000 to support charities and community projects at local, national and international levels. Organisers say the festival’s continued growth has been matched by strong support from local businesses, which helps maximise the funds generated for good causes.

Ian Short, Managing Director of Morley Glass, with visitors to a previous event.

Ian Short, Managing Director of Morley Glass, said the business is proud to play a role in helping the festival continue to grow:

“The North Leeds Charity Beer Festival really has become a highlight in the North Leeds calendar, bringing people together while raising vital funds for fantastic causes. Supporting our communities has always been a key part of what we do at Morley Glass, so we’re delighted to sponsor the festival this year. We hope our involvement helps the organisers continue the brilliant work they do and encourages more people to come along and enjoy the weekend.”

Morley Glass has sponsored the festival for several years, and its continued backing reflects the company’s commitment to supporting community events and charitable initiatives across West Yorkshire. Festival organisers have welcomed the renewed sponsorship, describing it as an important part of ensuring the event can raise as much money as possible for the community.

North Leeds Charity Beer Festival organiser, Richard Wharton commented:

“The North Leeds Charity Beer Festival has now been running for 14 years and raised over £100,000, all of which has been donated to charity. At the same time, it has become a much-anticipated and well attended event for the local community.

“We are grateful for the support of Morley Glass, who have been involved in the festival for many years and provide a huge amount of support and help in running the event.”

While the festival has grown into a major community fundraiser, organisers say it has remained true to its original aim of showcasing locally produced beers from micro and independent breweries. The event is also gaining an international following, with The Rotary Club of Lausanne International in Switzerland joining in and supporting the festival.

The 2026 North Leeds Charity Beer Festival will feature a wide range of Yorkshire beers and ciders, live music, food stalls and family-friendly entertainment.
