The city streets will shine brightly this October as Light Night Leeds makes its much-anticipated return and one of the festival’s most celebrated acts is set to light up the stage once again.
On October 22 and 23, the internationally acclaimed Spark! drummers will take over Trinity Leeds, filling the heart of the city with their explosive mix of live percussion, dazzling light displays, and theatrical flair. Renowned worldwide for their vibrant costumes, pulsating rhythms, and high-energy performances, Spark! are guaranteed to deliver a show-stopping spectacle that will thrill and inspire audiences of all ages.
Combining thunderous percussion, kaleidoscopic LED displays, and dynamic audience interaction, the Spark! drummers create a one-of-a-kind fusion of music, theatre, and street performance. Their larger-than-life, otherworldly characters communicate through perfectly timed drum sequences, playful choreography, and bursts of radiant light – transforming Trinity Leeds into a glowing stage beneath its iconic glass dome.
Visitors can experience this unmissable spectacle across five performances each evening, with 20-minute shows at 6pm, 7pm, 8pm, and 9pm on both Wednesday 22 and Thursday 23 October 2025.

The Everyman Cinema offers a boutique movie-going experience, while regular events and installations bring art, music, and performance into the space.
Light Night Leeds 2025 will illuminate the city on October 22 and 23, running from 6pm to 10pm each evening. This year’s theme, ‘Landmarks’, invites audiences to celebrate Leeds’ historic civic buildings, striking modern architecture, and much-loved public spaces, while also reflecting on their own personal landmarks – the places that hold special meaning and memories. The festival is organised and supported by Leeds City Council, with funding from Arts Council England and sponsorship from businesses across the city.
