Join us for Poppy Run Leeds 2021 at Middleton Park

The Royal British Legion’s annual Poppy Run event is taking place on Saturday 30th October in Leeds, Middleton Park. Choose to run, jog or walk 5km on 30 October – the event is open to all ages and abilities, including four legged friends.

The Leeds Poppy Run is £15 to enter and under 18’s go free. Entry includes a Poppy Run t-shirt and a special finisher’s medal. (Event volunteer opportunities are also available for the live Poppy Run).

Alternatively, there is a virtual challenge, My Poppy Run during October/November, where people can show their support for the 2021 Poppy Appeal. My Poppy Run is free to enter, and t-shirts/medals can be purchased separately.

Whatever the circumstances, we are here to help – without judgement – and to provide a safe space for the Armed Forces community and their families to access the support they need. Your fundraising helps us to continue supporting serving and ex-serving officers as well as their families.

The Royal British Legion was born out of the First World War, fighting for those who had given so much, and providing welfare and comradeship to millions. The last 18 months has impacted us all, and the people who rely on us for support need us more than ever.

As we mark our centenary, we celebrate the return of our Poppy Appeal collectors in local communities. By supporting the Poppy Appeal you ensure that those who have served are being looked after no matter what challenges they, and the country faces. Now more than ever, every poppy counts.

Can’t make this date? Join us instead for My Poppy Run, our virtual event. Do a run in your own time and still receive a medal. Run, walk or jog – any distance, in your own time, at your own pace and a location to suit you.

My Poppy Run gives you the choice to run, walk or jog however it works for you. It could be in the local park, around your local town, or on a treadmill. You can choose how to take part and raise funds to support the 2021 Poppy Appeal. Let’s do this together, you might run by yourself but you’re not alone.

Middleton Park is four miles south of the city centre and has several entrances. The address of the main entrance is from Town Street, Middleton, LS10 3SH.
