Home Bargains, a leading family-owned retailer in the UK, has further cemented its presence in Leeds with the opening of a new store, dubbed ‘Leeds 2,’ located at Central West Retail Park, Stanningley Road, Armley.
As a prominent family-run retailer in the UK, Home Bargains is significantly contributing to local employment by creating 55 new jobs with this expansion. The ‘Leeds 2’ store will serve as a complement to the existing Leeds store and is part of the retailer’s network of over 600 outlets nationwide. Despite prevailing industry trends, Home Bargains continues to expand robustly, opening around 50 stores annually.
Steve Perkins, the ‘Leeds 2’ Store Manager, has been with Home Bargains for 3 years and was previously Store Manager at the Oakwood store. Steve said:
“It’s fantastic to be part of yet another Home Bargains Store Opening and being able to recruit over 50 local colleagues from the community. I am looking forward to a successful opening and meeting our new customers.”
The 15,231 sq. ft store, will offer shoppers a range of products, including homewares, health and beauty essentials, sweets, snacks and drinks, as well as fresh and frozen food. Steve Perkins added:
“Our second Leeds location will be a great store for us, and we’re proud to be able to offer local people top-branded goods at exceptionally low prices.”
