We are the Leeds Beckett Events Management Students organising the Big 4/21 Clean-Up and we would love YOU to help us to make a difference!

Want to help us give back to our planet? Volunteer with us and together lets keep our park clean!

We are raising money to support Woodhouse Community Centre and every donation, big and small will help our Leeds community to become a happier, healthier place. Starting at 8:30 am we will begin our clean up of the park with the help of amazing volunteers. Along with a team of volunteers, we will be working with neighbouring shops who will be providing refreshments.

Our student-led team is organising a litter pick on 21st April to collect as much litter as we can to minimize the effect that April 20th has on our planet and community. For our 4/21 event, we are inviting volunteers to join us, and we are also raising funds to donate to Woodhouse Community Centre (Oblong) as a thank you for all the great work they do, and to show our appreciation for their support of our event.

We also want to say a big thank you to Hyde Park Book Club and The Library for sponsoring our volunteers tea and coffee on our event day. The event would not be possible without the support of our student union (LBSU) so big thanks to them and University of Leeds sustainability team too. We want to give something back to the lovely place we live and show Leeds that Leeds Beckett students do care about our community and environment.

Woodhouse Moor is a popular park in Leeds near the universities district of the city and the Hyde Park area of Headingley. The park is predominantly open grass land, with avenues of mature trees, and includes a playground, a skate park, a multi-use games area and a small car park, by Hyde Park Corner, and a bowling green, tennis courts and allotments along Moorland Road, as well as several imposing statues.

The 4:21 Clean Up

With 4/20 being one of the most notorious days each year at Hyde Park Leeds, the park is left desperately needing some TLC Tender Loving Care. Do you want to enhance your CV, whilst creating new connections and friendships? Then volunteering at The 4/21 Clean Up is the perfect thing for you!
