The largest Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair in the north returns to the Leeds first direct arena on Monday 4 March, 4pm – 8pm.
The event kick starts a range of activities taking place throughout the city for National Apprenticeship Week 2019.
Offering apprenticeship vacancies across a wide range of occupations over 130 organisations will be exhibiting including many of the largest employers in the city, such as AGFA Graphics Ltd, BAM Nuttall, Eversheds Sutherland, Direct Line, First Direct, Lloyds Banking Group, Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, Leeds City Council, Network Rail, PwC, Sky and many more!
New for 2019 is a Help Zone where you will find a range of support organisations such as the National Careers Service and Job Centre Plus. Staff from these organisations will be on hand to give help and assistance with a wide range of careers, apprenticeship and employment queries.
The event is being organised by Leeds City Council’s Employment and Skills service and is open to anyone who is interested in finding out more about apprenticeships from businesses who are offering real vacancies.
Councillor Jonathan Pryor, Leeds City Council’s executive member for employment, skills and opportunity said:
“I’m delighted that Leeds City Council is once again hosting the Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair.
The event is extremely popular – last year saw over 6,500 attendees through the doors – and the feedback from visitors and exhibitors alike is always extremely positive.
As ever we have a number of fantastic businesses who will have real vacancies. I’m pleased that we are also introducing a Help Zone for the first time which will have a range of partners on hand to be able to provide support.”
Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair is for anyone considering an apprenticeship now or in the future.
Interested in attending? The event is not ticketed, just turn up on the night.
