LivingCare Group rolls out Siemens AI tech to sharpen MRI scans

Yorkshire-based private healthcare provider LivingCare Group has rolled out new AI-enhanced imaging technology within its MRI service, following investment in Siemens’ Deep Resolve platform.

Deep Resolve is now being used in LivingCare Group’s MRI service in Leeds, with the provider saying the upgrade will strengthen diagnostic imaging and improve scan quality, speed and the overall patient experience. LivingCare Group is the first private healthcare provider in the North of England to implement the technology on a 3T scanner. The system uses AI to reduce image noise, helping clinicians produce high-resolution MRI images more quickly. By shortening the time patients spend in the scanner, the provider expects the technology to increase comfort while also improving appointment availability and boosting overall scanning capacity.

The reduced scan time is also expected to make MRI more accessible for patients living with severe pain, for whom remaining still for long periods can be a significant barrier to effective imaging and diagnosis. LivingCare Group said integrating AI into MRI scanning should provide patients with a smoother route to successful diagnosis. The technology will be available to patients requiring MRI scans at LivingCare Group’s Thorpe Park clinic from February.

Helen Haigh, Head of Imaging at LivingCare Group said:

“We are extremely pleased to introduce Deep Resolve for MRI services at our Leeds Thorpe Park clinic. The improved clarity and resolution it delivers gives our clinical teams greater confidence when interpreting scans, supporting more accurate diagnosis. The reduced scan time also improves comfort for patients while allowing us to increase appointment availability.”

Founder and Director Dr Stephen Feldman added:

“This is a significant step forward not only for LivingCare Group, but for diagnostic imaging more broadly. The introduction of Deep Resolve demonstrates the practical role AI can play in improving image quality, efficiency and clinical decision-making in healthcare.

“The UK continues to lag behind many comparable countries in imaging provision, with fewer scanners and ageing infrastructure. We are committed to providing both patients and clinicians with access to modern, high-quality diagnostic services, and to leading by example in how advanced technology can be used to support accurate diagnosis and care.”

The introduction of Deep Resolve builds on the group’s continued investment in diagnostic imaging, including its 3T MRI scanner, which uses a powerful magnetic resonance to deliver enhanced image quality to support more accurate diagnosis.

LivingCare Group was founded in 2002 by Dr Stephen Feldman, who has more than 40 years’ experience in diagnostic and elite sports medicine. The provider delivers care to both private and NHS patients, with clinical specialisms including cardiology, elite sports medicine, musculoskeletal services and pain management.
