Ready to Play Unstoppable? The LEGO Group is excited to continue its free in-store and online workshops series in collaboration with innovative creatives.
Free play is how children develop their imagination – the foundation for creativity. Curiosity asks WHY and imagines possible explanations. Playfulness asks WHAT IF and imagines how the ordinary becomes extraordinary, fantasy or fiction. Dreaming it is a first step towards doing it.
The LEGO Group’s mission is to inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow through the power of play. The LEGO System in Play, with its foundation in LEGO bricks, allows children and fans to build and rebuild anything they can imagine. Aimed at young creators aged 6-12, the workshops are focused on themes such as Entertainment, Space, Imagination and Gaming. Super playful creativity workshops for kids, led by unstoppable creators.
Creativity Workshops – Taking place at the LEGO Toy Shop in Trinity Leeds, Albion Street, on October 13 and October 20. This workshop invites young creators to immerse themselves in the world of Gaming. Participants can design their own ‘video game level’ complete with buildable characters or craft whatever they imagine with the guidance of expert Brick Specialists. While admission is free, advance booking is necessary at www.lego.com
Creativity at Home Online Workshops – Join online sessions hosted by gaming pioneer and influencer Kennedy Rose, who will guide you and your family through fun LEGO builds that express your gaming spirit and personality. The projects include a ‘controller stand’, a ‘bear mini-avatar’, and a ‘gamer-tag nameplate’.
Fun is being active together, the thrill of an adventure, the joyful enthusiasm of children and the delight in surprising both yourself and others in what you can do or create. Fun is the happiness we experience when we are fully engaged in something that requires mastery, when our abilities are in balance with the challenge at hand and we are making progress towards a goal.
Caring is about our desire to make a positive difference in the lives of children, for our colleagues, our partners, and the world we live in. Doing that little extra, not because we have to – but because it feels right and because we care.
These Creativity Workshops are part of the LEGO Group’s ongoing initiative to promote and support girls’ creativity, with diverse themes throughout the year such as Entertainment, Space, Imagination, and now Gaming.
For those interested in joining the fun, the workshops are outlined on the LEGO website, where visitors can find schedules for upcoming in-store events and links to join online workshops. These sessions are free, though space in physical locations is limited, and advance registration is recommended to secure a spot.
The LEGO Creativity Workshops are more than just a chance to play with LEGO bricks; they offer a platform for growth, learning, and most importantly, fun, ensuring that every child can find their creative voice and express it in a supportive, enriching environment.
