The Yorkshire Children’s Charity has launched a heartfelt campaign called ‘Light a Star,’ aiming to bring hope and support to children across Yorkshire.
This initiative encourages individuals and communities to come together, shining a light on the needs of children and their families while raising essential funds to support various programs and services. ‘Light a Star‘ invites people to sponsor a star, symbolically lighting up the lives of children who face challenges such as illness, disability, or difficult family circumstances. The stars, which can be personalized with messages of hope and love, are displayed prominently, serving as beacons of solidarity and compassion throughout the holiday season and beyond.
The campaign not only raises awareness about the struggles faced by many children in Yorkshire but also mobilizes resources to provide tangible support. Donations from the ‘Light a Star‘ initiative directly contribute to funding medical treatments, educational programs, recreational activities, and family support services, ensuring that children receive the help they need to thrive.
The ‘Light a Star‘ campaign has captured widespread public interest across Yorkshire, with schools, businesses, and individual community members actively participating. These collaborative efforts showcase the unity and strength of the Yorkshire community, reinforcing a collective commitment to bettering the lives of the area’s children.
Local businesses are instrumental in driving the campaign’s success by sponsoring stars and coordinating fundraising activities. These initiatives not only raise vital funds but also cultivate a sense of community spirit and a shared purpose. Additionally, educational institutions are getting involved, with students taking part in star decorating projects and learning about the crucial roles that charity and community support play in societal well-being. Together, these efforts underscore the impact of community involvement in charitable endeavors, promoting a vibrant, supportive atmosphere that benefits Yorkshire’s younger residents.
Yorkshire Children’s Charity and Grantley Hall are thrilled to invite you to an exquisite event, ‘A Night Under The Stars,’ scheduled for Saturday, 21st September 2024. This magical evening will feature top-notch entertainment, including a special performance by Olly Murs. The event will unfold in the stunning glass Orangery at Grantley Hall, with an awe-inspiring fireworks display providing a dazzling backdrop. The event’s ambience will be curated by the renowned Party Architect Johnny Roxburgh, a former Royal Warrant holder, and decorated with floral arrangements from Fulford Flowers, florist to the stars.
Upon arrival, guests will be treated to a luxurious Champagne reception, followed by a selection of fine wines. The culinary highlight of the evening will be a gourmet four-course banquet crafted by Executive Chef Simon Crannage. With one in three children in Yorkshire living in poverty, our goal for the evening is ambitious: to raise £1 million to aid the region’s most vulnerable children by providing them with essential items and memorable days out.
