Hope Created by: Westbrook Lane Primary School The inspiration for our design was ‘The Tin Forest’ by Helen Ward and Wayne Anderson. It is about a man who lives in a wild, desolate place. However, ‘where there is a dream, hope can grow.’ With hard work, he transforms it into a living forest, full of birds, animals and new growth. The Art Ambassadors were responsible for drawing and painting the forest. Every child in school made a flower or creature and we used decoupage to add them to the background. Polar Created by: Graham Hearfield Sponsored by: Us. Studio Description Sea ice is essential habitat for polar bears, but across the Arctic, it’s disappearing fast. Due to rising temperatures—caused by our climate crisis—sea ice concentrations have declined in every decade since the start of satellite records (in 1979) by an average of 12.6%. The remaining ice is younger, thinner, melts earlier in spring and re-freezes later in autumn. This severely affects polar bear’s survival chances. We’ve visually represented this loss by removing a 12.6% piece from our bear. Artist Information Us. Studio Sponsor information Us. Studio is a creative agency. We’re optimistic for the future and believe we can make a positive impact on the world through creativity.
