Insurance broker Lycetts has helped Yorkshire Children’s Charity secure £75,000 through Benefact Group’s Partnership Funding programme.
The funding will be provided over three years, with £25,000 awarded annually to help the charity transform the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the county. Founded with the aim of improving childhoods, Yorkshire Children’s Charity supports children affected by sickness, disability and financial deprivation, from the Yorkshire Dales to inner-city communities. In just four years, the charity has raised more than £8 million and supported more than 58,000 children.
The funding partnership reflects Lycetts’ commitment to supporting charitable organisations that make a meaningful difference in the communities in which it operates. With its Yorkshire office based in Catterick, the broker was keen to support a charity with deep regional roots and a clear focus on helping children and families facing difficult circumstances.
Over the course of the partnership, Lycetts will also look to support the charity beyond the financial contribution, with colleagues from its Yorkshire team exploring volunteering opportunities and other ways to assist with the charity’s work and events.
Edmund Sword, Lycett’s Yorkshire-based Divisional Director said:
“Yorkshire Children’s Charity is doing exceptional work across the region.
“From our first conversations with the charity, we were struck by the clarity of its mission, the energy of its team and the practical impact it is having. As a business with a strong presence in the region, we are proud to support an organisation that is so rooted in Yorkshire and so focused on making life better for children and families who need help.
“We look forward to playing an active role in supporting the charity’s work over the next three years.”
Charlotte Farrington, Yorkshire Children’s Charity founder added:
“Yorkshire Children’s Charity has seen rapid growth and success over the last four years, and this has only been possible because of incredible people who share our vision to make Yorkshire a better place for our children and young people to live.
“Our partnerships are critical to achieving this and we couldn’t be happier or prouder to have Lycetts and Benefact Group join us on this journey.
“As a company they embody everything we stand for, with philanthropy forming the foundation of the organisation.
“We are really looking forward to seeing where this partnership goes over the next three years and introducing Lycetts and Benefact Group into our incredible family of partnerships and supporters.”
The donation is part of Benefact Group’s Partnership Funding programme, which provides longer-term funding to charities across the UK and Ireland.
